What dreams did you have for your wedding bands? 

We were actually a little unsure of what we wanted in the beginning. We knew we wanted something that felt special and timeless but also had a bit of a statement about it. Longvé helped us navigate that balance and find something that felt very much like us - classic in its expression, but with a strong character and made to last, both in style and quality. 

Why did you choose to have the rings custom-designed for you? 

I am a very sentimental person, and I love it when there is a thought, story, or meaning behind a piece of jewellery. Having our rings customized gave us the opportunity to make them truly personal, rather than simply choosing something off the shelf. That personal connection was one of the main things we were looking for. 

How was your experience designing your wedding bands with longvé? 

It was such a wonderful experience. The whole team was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, and made the process feel both easy and genuinely fun. We always felt listened to, and they really took the time to understand what we were looking for. It became much more than simply choosing our wedding bands — it was a lovely part of the wedding journey itself. 

What do your rings mean to you today? 

They mean the world to us. We are so happy with how they turned out, and knowing that we were part of creating them makes them feel even more special. They are something we will carry with us every day, and hopefully one day pass down as part of our story. 

What advice would you give to other couples looking to design their wedding bands? 

Personalize and customize as much as you can. It is such a fun process, and even small personal details can give a piece so much more meaning. For example, we added tiny stones on the inside of our rings in the colors of our eyes - something subtle that only we know is there, but that makes the rings feel even more personal. We think the best jewellery is the kind that has a story behind it - something that reminds you of a person, a place, or a moment in your life. 

Julia & Simon each chose their own wedding band – two different designs brought together by personal details and a shared expression. 

Julia & Simon each chose a wedding band in 14K white gold and 14K recycled yellow gold – two rings with their own distinctive expressions yet connected by their personal details. Julia’s ring has an elegant and striking expression, featuring three lab-grown diamonds in different sizes, with a total carat weight of 2.4 ct. The diamonds are DEF/VS quality and are complemented by one brown and one green natural diamond as a distinctive detail. Simon’s ring has a simpler and more graphic expression in 14K recycled gold, with a wide, flat shape and a high-polished finish. The ring features a 0.036 ct. lab-grown white diamond, as well as one brown and one green natural diamond. Both rings feature personal engravings and details that create a subtle connection between them. Together, the rings are a personal expression of Julia and Simon – two different designs that each tell something about them, while together connecting to their shared story.
